For more than two decades, Dr. Sharon M. Piper has guided WOMEN Obstetrics and Gynecology, PLC, as its founder and partner. Serving patients throughout the Nashville community, she is passionate about offering experienced care both during and after pregnancy, delivering babies, and performing C-sections. Dr. Sharon M. Piper emphasizes personalized treatment while providing a full spectrum of gynecological care including surgical procedures. She maintains hospital privileges with St. Thomas Midtown Hospital and Centennial Medical Center and is a clinical instructor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.She was in the nursing profession prior to attending medical school. Earning her doctorate of medicine from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 1987, Dr. Piper received the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation for Scholastic Excellence. She then successfully completed her four years of residency training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in OB/Gyn in Nashville. At St. Thomas Midtown Hospital, the largest tertiary hospital in Middle Tennessee, Dr. Sharon M. Piper was chosen to be Vice Chairman then the Chairman of the area's largest OB/Gyn Department. For many years, she has also served on the Executive Committee of that same hospital.
